Visit Ullastret and/or Peratallada

For those with an interest in history and archaeology in the Empordà region, the treasures of the ruins of Ullastret and Peratallada await exploration.

Ullastret currently stands as the largest Iberian settlement discovered in Catalonia, and nearby Peratallada also reveals remnants of an Iberian village.

Both Ullastret and Peratallada boast excellent restaurants serving Catalan cuisine, nestled in stone farmhouses with a warm ambiance. The majority of streets maintain their original cobblestone charm, and nearly all are pedestrianized.

From Ullastret (and Fonteta), you can also discover the famous “Recuits de Drap.” In particular, Ullastret is home to the fabulous Recuits de Drap de Ca la Nuri.
