Starting from Montras (5 minutes by car from Llafranc), there are numerous trails. Some of these trails pass over old mines, where you can still see remnants such as galleries, extraction hydrants, ventilation shafts, houses, etc. During the walk, you can appreciate various rock formations, primarily slates, schists, and granites. Among the native vegetation, holm oaks and cork oaks stand out, underscoring Palafrugell’s renown in the cork industry (‘suro’ in Catalan).
